Abstract:

This new epic adventure takes place in the IOUG universe sometime after the events of Collaborate 2016 and before the events of Collaborate 2018. This story will focus on a rebel presenter on a mission to steal the secrets of PowerPoint! This pivotal session in the conference journey brings together ordinary people who want to present on extraordinary things...and in extraordinary ways. And in doing so, they become part of something greater than themselves. Coming to a Collaborate near you April 2-6, 2017!

Nerdy professionals like ourselves are often asked to present on technical topics. Who wants to do that? Then we give boring, long-winded, monotonous presentations where the audience is bombarded with information. NEXT! Come to this session to gain valuable tricks and tips on creating and presenting PowerPoint presentations. We'll cover the DOs and DON'Ts in an entertaining and interactive way. Don't miss out! You'll be able to incorporate what you learn immediately into your next presentation.

Objective 1: There are 3 main learning objectives which will be covered in parts during this session. Part I is about creating a PowerPoint slide deck. It will cover PowerPoint deck flow, slide creation, and many tips and tricks.

Objective 2: There are 3 main learning objectives which will be covered in parts during this session. Part II is about presenting a PowerPoint slide deck. This section will cover different ways to present in general.

Objective 3: There are 3 main learning objectives which will be covered in parts during this session. Part III covers alternatives to PowerPoint as a presentation technology and the standard PowerPoint presenter style.
