Abstract: Integrating asset data with JD Edwards has traditionally relied on manual, error-prone and time-consuming processes. With the advent of the IoT Orchestrator customers are now able to seamlessly integrate real time data such as meter readings (odometer, engine hours, fuel usage, etc.), condition based alerts, GPS locations and more. This technology enables customers to finally realize the potential of their investment in preventative and condition based maintenance as well as improve the usage of other functionality such as equipment time entry and billing.
Objective 1: Discuss the architecture of IoT Orchestrations. The creation of orchestrations allows for easy setup by defining 5 key components: Orchestration, Cross Reference, White List, Rules & Service Requests.
Objective 2: Describe how M2M communication works between mobile assets and JDE. Devices are configured to read asset information and then transmit the raw data using a cellular network. The data is then interpreted and sent to JD Edwards for final processing.
Objective 3: Discuss how IoT Orchestrator can be used to extend standard JDE functionality such as a drag and drop calendar to manage and update work order schedules.
